He had previously had dealings with the law firm through day-to-day work with his clients and approached them in January 2017 to discuss the transaction.
Simon Crack, the director of Hethertons’ My Business Legal, and Jessica Roberts, the Head of Corporate Law, talked Andrew through the sale of White Kite Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors – which he had set up almost a decade earlier.
He also relied on Hethertons for advice on the various aspects of employment law he needed to be aware of.
Andrew said that he was impressed with the firm’s efficient handling of the sale.
“I was looking for a law firm which was straightforward and wouldn’t complicate things,” he said.
“It was also important that I was dealing with a firm which was very responsive. With something like this there can be periods when there’s a lull and very little is happening and then there will be times when everything seems to be happening at once. I was impressed with how Hethertons managed all that.
“I also wanted to deal with solicitors who would make it clear what was and wasn’t possible. You want to be sure that you’re aware of all the options available.”
Following the successful completion of the sale, Andrew said he would be happy to continue to recommend Hethertons to other people, having already suggested them to a number of professional contacts previously.
