A leading legal firm in York has announced the appointment of two new solicitors as it looks to strengthen and expand its services to people and businesses across the region.
Hayley Crossman-Shaw and Andrew Macaulay are the firm’s two newest team members and will work with existing departments to support Hethertons’ growing client base.
With experience in a wide range of family and private client matters, Hayley is able to assist with separation and divorce, children matters, financial settlements and contested financial proceedings, as well as emergency injunction proceedings.
Although she is part of the Family Law team within the firm, she is also able to call on her previous experience assisting with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration, which supports her current role.
In particular, she has worked with elderly clients and those with reduced capacity issues in the past and can provide support to families facing complex issues.
Meanwhile, Andrew will work within the Employment and Dispute Resolution department, where he is able to provide practical support to clients with Employment Law matters, such as contracts, settlement agreements and staff-related matters, through to civil litigation matters, including debt recovery, property disputes, commercial dispute and contractual advice.
Prior to becoming a solicitor, Andrew acted as a Court Advocate representing a range of clients across the Northern Circuit, giving him an in-depth insight into the needs of clients.
Simon Nellar, a Consultant at Hethertons Solicitors, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Hayley and Andrew to our team. They both bring with them experience and a real passion for supporting our clients.
“Investing in our people and recruiting the best talent in the region is an essential part of our ongoing ambitions for growth and development as a practice.”
