Congratulations to our colleague Khal, who has successfully completed the world-famous Great North Run, the largest half marathon in the world.
Despite waiting more than three hours at the start line and navigating through huge crowds of 60,000 runners, Khal described the atmosphere as “epic” and said the support, cheers and energy along the route more than made up for the challenge.
Khal was among 1,700 runners taking part for the Alzheimer’s Society, with an incredible £500,000 already raised for the charity.
He also smashed his personal fundraising target, thanks to the generous support of friends, colleagues, clients and the wider community.
Khal said: “The Great North Run has rightly earned its reputation as the best half marathon in the world. It wasn’t my fastest time, but it was definitely the most inspiring.
“I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me, from the amazing team at Hethertons Solicitors and my colleague Megan Hallam, to the many others who kindly donated.”
After crossing the finish line, Khal celebrated with well-deserved Wagyu steaks, a fitting reward for such an incredible achievement.
