Purpose: To manage a range of Property Litigation matters from initial instruction through to conclusion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious solicitor with the knowledge, skills and mindset to thrive in a developing firm.
The primary focus of the role is to take on the responsibility of managing your own profitable case load (under the supervision of a Director) with the objective of providing litigation advice and practical legal support to our client base as we continue to grow.
Essential Elements of the Role
- To undertake the fee earning work, working both independently, with minimal supervision and as a member of the team;
- To maintain existing relationships with the firm’s clients and assist in developing new relationships with third part referrers;
- Manage Property Litigation clients, with a focus on landlords and tenants, property contract disputes, property insolvency, rights of way, adverse possession, restrictive covenants, dilapidations, drafting and serving statutory and contractual notices, drafting pleadings and witness statements in support of applications
- Draft correspondence, reports and legal documents.
- Promote and adhere to all file and case management policies and procedures;
- To carry out and take responsibility for more complex high value work.
- To undertake sufficient training and research to keep up to date in matters of law and procedure;
- Achieve and maintain relevant accreditations, Law Society, Panel Membership and other appropriate memberships;
- Must be willing to work closely with other departments within the firm on joint projects;
- Must be willing to participate in the growth and feature development of the department, assisting in the build-up of the client base, and marketing the firm’s services;
- Must be willing to attend and participate in any meetings of the departments or the firm when required;
- Involvement in developing strategic plans for the department;
- To comply with the company policies and performance targets;
- Meet the highest quality of ethical standards; and
- Ensure work undertaken is fully billed and billed costs recovered.
