Simon Crack joined Hethertons in 1999 and specialises in advising the firm’s business clients as head of the firm’s Business Support Unit.
He has wide experience of business-related issues including the acquisition and disposal of many varieties of businesses, associated financial arrangements and commercial leases.
Simon was the key founder of Hethertons’ Business Services Unit; a specialist team of legal professionals set up to provide a fixed-fee solution to common business issues.
This successful service is aimed at local businesses and offers proactive legal advice and support as and when they need it.
Based upon his previous experience and Hethertons’ and his own commitment to providing exceptional services, the commercial law side of Hethertons has grown significantly in recent years.
He is an active member of the York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and the Law Society’s Property Section and has a keen interest in local charities and sports groups.
Simon is also a member of York Trusted Professionals, a local organisation that has raised thousands of pounds for good causes.
Simon is a keen follower of most sports and a season ticket holder at Leeds United, whom he supports “with a due sense of resignation and dread”.
He also enjoys travel, cinema, nineteenth century Russian literature, the Cubist movement within modern art and spending time with his children.
