Senior Associate Solicitor
David qualified as a solicitor in 1993 having trained at a leading national law firm, where he eventually became a Partner. He then went on to be a Partner at another national law firm, before becoming Head of Employment Law at a top 100 practice.
David has extensive experience advising employers and senior employees in all aspects of employment law, including disciplinary matters, grievances, TUPE, discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract and much more.
He is an active member of the Industrial Law Society and has served on the Executive Committee and as Vice Chair. He is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, where he has assisted working groups with a variety of topical issues.
David was made Under Sheriff of City of York for a year in 2004 and elected as a councillor for the local authority between 2003 and 2015.
He enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and wine tasting, as well as going on rollercoasters with his teenage son.
