The commercial property sector has seen a slump as the number of deals in the market has fallen to its lowest level in ten years, but could things be set to change?

Deals in the last quarter of 2022 were the lowest in a quarter since 2010. Only £7 billion of deals were transacted in the last three months of last year.

A proposal to bring in ‘menopause leave’ pilot trials in England has been rejected by the Government.

The proposal had been made by the Women and Equalities Committee to assist employees experiencing the significant changes to their lifestyle brought about by menopause.

The news that online retail colossus, Amazon was closing down three warehouses across the UK has hinted that the bonanza for building ‘big shed’ warehouses may be waning.

Despite the closures of warehouses at Hemel Hempstead, Doncaster and Gourock in Scotland, Amazon claimed it would be opening two new facilities in the UK.

The Government’s proposal to review, reject or replace some 4,000 laws, which were implemented during the UK’s membership of the EU, could have ramifications for businesses across the UK.

The review would see possible new rules implemented, and current laws dropped or amended.
