The guidelines as to the level of compensation to be awarded in claims in the Employment Tribunal involving injury to feelings have been updated.
The new figures apply to cases started in the Employment Tribunal from 6 April 2019 onwards.
The updated bands for injury to feelings are;
- Lower band (less serious cases): £900 to £8,800
- Middle band: £8,800 to £26,300
- Upper band (most serious cases): £26,300 to £44,000
A claimant may also claim for financial loss, including loss of earnings, in addition to the Injury to feelings
