Reports To: Head of Commerical Property York & The Directors

Location: York and/or Boroughbridge office

Salary: Negotiable (based on experience) + pension + bonus scheme

The Role:

Newly qualified (2+ years PQE) Commercial Property Solicitor is required to join our well established Commercial Property Team. Working in a team of 4 you will be required to meet our clients’ expectations and to protect their best interests. We are very passionate about delivering high quality service to our clients. There is a distinct opportunity for growth and career development. You will therefore be exposed to a broad range of commercial property matters including sales and acquisitions, commercial leasehold, landlord and tenant, property secured borrowing, private pension scheme investment property, and property aspects of business re-organisation. You will be joining a respected legal team where you will have the opportunity to further develop your career in a balanced and flexible working environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with a broad range of commercial property matters;
  • Active involvement in the growth and further development of the firm’s commercial property services;
  • Assisting other fee earners and working as part of a team to contribute to the achievement of the Firm’s core ideologies; and
  • Undertaking any other relevant and associated duties specified by the Head of Department and/or Directors.

Qualifications / Education:

  • 2yrs PQE Qualified Solicitor

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 yrs handling a diverse Commercial Property caseload
  • Experience of using a electronic case management system
  • Able to take accurate client instructions
  • Solid understanding and application of the rules regarding compliance, SAR, and other requirements of the SRA
  • Drafting and provision of quality commercial advice
  • Previous networking and business development experience
