Alongside our day-to-day legal work, we are committed to making a positive impact on the communities that we work with.
Our aim is to give something back to some of the most vulnerable people in our society and to those who support local businesses.
Below is an overview of just some of the ways that we have helped local organisations and causes in the past.
June 2018 – We renewed our support of the popular Poppleton Beer Festival, which helped to raise funds for local youth football clubs.
May 2018 – Barbara Stephens and eight other volunteers take part in York Legal Walk in aid of the Yorkshire Legal Support Trust.
May 2018 – The Special Olympics’ Yorkshire & Humberside Regional Short Mat Carpet Bowls Competition hosted in York once again thanks to the sponsorship of Hethertons.
February 2018 – Tiny Tickers selected as our charity of the year for 2018.
January 2018 – We managed to raise more than XXXX amount for our chosen charity Zoë’s Place.
December 2017 – Helped raise more than £5,000 with local businesses for Candlelighters – a local children’s cancer charity.
November 2017 – York Light Youth put on a series of shows of the ‘Barnum’ – a circus musical based on the life of the famous showman P.T. Barnum – with the support of Hethertons.
November 2017 – Attended a Halloween-themed charity ball organised by Catalyst IT Solutions in aid of Martin House Hospice.
November 2017 – Continued our ongoing support of the Small Business Category at the Press Business Awards.
October 2017 – We took part in the Begbies Traynor quiz in aid of local charity, Martin House Children’s Hospice.
September 2017 – Lucy Martindale, an administrative assistant at Hethertons Solicitors, raised more than £400 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in the Pretty Muddy 5k.
June 2017 – We supported the Special Olympics Yorkshire & Humberside Regional Short Mat Bowls Pairs.
June 2017 – We sponsored the first ever TrustFest, a local charity festival in Boroughbridge Road, which raised money for cancer charity the Candlelighters.

October 2016 – We announced the winner of our photo competition to raise money for our chosen charity Zoë’s Place.
September 2016 – Our team took part in the H&A Race Night, which raised hundreds for York Arc Light – an organisation that provides accommodation and support to homeless men and women in York.
